2025 has been a huge year for Nutritional Performance Labs. We turned ten and shifted our entire operation to a new facility, all without missing a beat. Reaching both milestones has made us reflect on how far we’ve come, but everything still goes back to the same idea we began with. We wanted to create supplements people could trust. Ten years later, that focus has never changed.

β€œWe started NPL because we were frustrated with what was out there,” says John van den Berg, CEO of NPL. β€œAs a family business, we’re not answerable to investors pushing for shortcuts. We answer to our customers, and they deserve to know exactly what they’re putting into their bodies. That philosophy hasn’t changed since day one.”

A new home has given NPL the space to grow with purpose. Our Northriding headquarters includes more than 1,500 square metres of modern office space, along with a dedicated product development space, a fully equipped in-office gym, a kitted-out kitchen and a warehouse with capacity for up to 8,000 pallets. β€œWe source our raw materials from across the globe, giving us full control over quality,” says John. β€œEvery ingredient is tested, with additional random batch testing to ensure consistency and safety. And because transparency matters, we fully disclose all our formulas, so our community knows exactly what they’re getting.”

Proven Results Again and Again

Our NPL Body Revolution Challenge is one of South Africa’s largest transformation challenges, with 2000+ participants entering in recent years. Approaching its tenth edition, BodyRev gives our audience the chance to put NPL products to the test along with professionally structured meal and training plans for 12 weeks. The biannual challenge continues to prove that we make supplements for real people, delivering real results in the real world.

The development of standard gym supplements has exploded over the past decade, and NPL has managed to stay relevant through continuous improvement of existing products and the introduction of new, innovative formulas over the years.
