Everyone needs a post Easter sugar detox because the grocery store shelves are filled with hot-cross buns and chocolate eggs. No one wants to hold back over the long Easter weekend, but when the sugar hangover kicks in you find you really want to get back to the nutritional straight and narrow.

Here’s how…

  1. Drink more water

Make hydration your main priority after your marshmallow egg binging. Not only will it help flush out your system, but it will give you more energy to get through the day.

  1. Cut out sugar

Eating a lot of sugar will only make you crave it more. Fight the urge and stay away from sugar for at least five days. Instead, consume good fats such as coconut oil, nuts, seeds, and avocados to help satisfy your cravings and boost your energy levels.

  1. Eat nutritious foods

Processed foods are hard to resist over Easter, but in order to get healthy again, you will need to intake more raw, unprocessed foods such as fruit, veggies, nuts, seeds, eggs and lean meat.

  1. Exercise

Sweat out all the bad stuff with a good workout. Go for a walk, do some yoga or take a grid class at gym to get your metabolism going.
